Co-op Foundation IGR Cattle Mineral- Mon is specifically formulated to support the growth of beef steers and heifers, whether they are being raised on pasture as stockers, feeders, or for slaughter, or in a dry lot environment. This mineral supplement is also ideal for replacement beef heifers weighing between 425 to 850 pounds. By providing essential nutrients, it enhances the overall diet of these animals, leading to increased rates of weight gain. The careful balance of vitamins and minerals promotes optimal health and growth, ensuring that livestock can achieve their full potential while on pasture or in confined settings.
When used as directed Co-op Foundation IGR Cattle Mineral-MON will provide sufficient (S)-Methoprene insect growth regulator to prevent the emergence of adult horn flies from manure of treated cattle. Existing adult horn flies will not be affected. Start feeding before horn flies appear and continue use until cold weather marks the end of horn fly season. Assure cattle are not starved for nutrients in Co-op Foundation IGR Cattle Mineral-MON by providing them with Co-op Foundation Cattle Mineral prior to feeding this mineral. Introduction of this product after an adult horn fly infestation is established will require treatment of cattle with adulticides if immediate elimination of the adult fly population is desired. Feed Co-op Foundation IGR Cattle Mineral-MON at the rate of 100 g (3.53 oz) per head per day in not less than 1 lb of feed along with good-quality pasture or other long-stemmed forage and clean, fresh water to provide 50 mg of Monensin per head per day and 22.7 to 45.4 mg of (S)-Methoprene per 100 lb body weight per month.
WARNING: A withdrawal time has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. CAUTION: Do not allow horses or other equines access to feed containing Monensin. Ingestion of Monensin by equines has been fatal. Monensin-medicated cattle feeds are safe for use in cattle only. Consumption by unapproved species may result in toxic reactions. Do not feed undiluted. Feeding undiluted or mixing errors resulting in high concentrations of Monensin has been fatal to cattle and could be fatal to goats. Do not exceed the levels of Monensin recommended in the feeding directions as reduced average daily gains may result. If feed refusals containing Monensin are fed to other groups of cattle, the concentration of Monensin in the refusals and amount of refusals fed should be taken into consideration to prevent Monensin overdosing. Do not feed to sheep or other copper-sensitive animals. STORAGE AND DISPOSAL: Do not contaminate water, food or feed by storage or disposal. Storage: Store in a cool place. Pesticide Disposal: Wastes resulting from the use of this product may be disposed of on site or at an approved waste disposal facility. Container Handling: Nonrefillable container.
