About Us:
Tennessee Farmers Cooperative (TFC) is a farmer-owned regional cooperative serving the needs of member co-ops across the state. We believe in developing future leaders, building strong communities, and strengthening the cooperative system through education and training.


Position Overview:
TFC is seeking a dynamic, relationship-driven Director of Training and Education to lead learning initiatives that benefit both internal TFC employees and employees and leaders of our local cooperative system. This individual will collaborate with leaders across the organization and our member co-ops to identify training needs, design, deliver and evaluate impactful programs and learning solutions, and oversee flagship initiatives like our Cooperative Trainee Program, Emerging Leaders Institute, and Summer Internship Program.


Key Responsibilities:

  • Identify training needs across TFC and member cooperatives.
  • Lead flagship development programs for interns, trainees, and emerging leaders.
  • Design, deliver, and evaluate high-quality training and education offerings and solutions.
  • Manage the education and training budget with efficiency and impact.
  • Serve as a thought partner and change agent across Tennessee’s cooperative landscape.

Qualifications:

  • 7+ years of relevant experience in training, adult education, or leadership development.
  • Bachelor’s degree required (Master’s preferred).
  • Strong interpersonal skills and ability to connect with rural stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of cooperative systems or rural/agricultural businesses is a plus.
