SUMMARY:
Ag1 Farmers Co-op is member-owned and serves as your hometown store in the upper Cumberland for all things home and garden, pet, powersports, livestock, equipment, and much more. They are looking to hire a branch manager to supervise the work and operations at their branch location in Cookeville, TN. Direct the actual distribution or movement of a product or service to the customer. This individual will supervise and coordinate the activities of workers in all departments of the retail store.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor associate’s degree in agriculture business or related field
- 2-3 years management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education/experience
- Proficient in demonstrating effective management duties and responsibilities
- Ability to lead a group of employees in a team setting
- Ability to stay self-motivated
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
- Assigns duties to workers and schedules break periods, work hours, and vacations
- Trains workers in store policies, department procedures, and job duties
- Orders merchandise, supplies, and equipment
- Records delivery of merchandise, compares records with merchandise ordered, and reports discrepancies to control costs and maintain correct inventory levels
- Inspects merchandise to ensure it is correctly priced and displayed
- Recommends additions to or deletions of merchandise to be sold in departments
- Prepares sales and inventory reports
- Listens to customer complaints, examines returned merchandise, and resolves problems to restore and promote good public relations
- Assists sales workers in completing difficult sales
- Promotes the cooperative in the local community, trade area, and with sister cooperatives
- Provides exceptional customer service to the members and patrons of Ag1 Farmers Co-op
