Andy Teasley Elected New Chairman of TN Soybean Promotion Board
The Tennessee Soybean Promotion Board has elected Andy Teasley as its new chairman. Teasley is an active farmer and served as the board’s secretary for the past two years prior to his election to this position. He is also active in other agricultural organizations, including serving as vice president of the Robertson County Farm Bureau.

As a third-generation farmer and operator of Teasley Farms in Pleasant View, TN, and a respected community and board member, Teasley is eager to leverage his experience and new role to make decisions that will have lasting positive effects on Tennessee’s farming community.

“The board’s investments of our checkoff dollars into various projects play a crucial, often behind-the-scenes role in supporting farmers,” Teasley said. “As chairman, I’m excited to work with the board to strategically use these funds for projects like infrastructure improvements that lower our transportation costs, vital research into drought-tolerant and disease-resistant soybean varieties, and more uses for the soybean and soybean oil beyond biodiesel.”

The Tennessee Promotion Board aims to strengthen Tennessee soybean farmers' resilience by providing them with the necessary support and resources to succeed each season.

Stefan Maupin, the executive director of the Tennessee Soybean Promotion Council, said, “Andy has shown that he cares deeply about our state's farmers and has proven his leadership abilities by facilitating open communication and finding new ways to benefit his peers.”

Jason Cherry, Tennessee Soybean Promotion Board’s previous chairman, is confident that the board's new leadership and collaborative nature will “propel the organization into a bright future” that will benefit all Tennessee soybean farmers.

The Tennessee Soybean Promotion Board (TSPB) is the Qualified State Soybean Board (QSSB) for Tennessee producers in the national checkoff program. A farmer-driven board, TSPB promotes the growth and development of our state’s soybean industry by investing checkoff funds in research, advertisement, promotion, education and market development.
