Career Opportunities At Co-op

TFC provides a wide variety of career opportunities in its product departments, facilities, and service areas as well as a management training program that prepares candidates for jobs at member Co-op stores across the system. TFC’s divisions and departments include:

Feed, Farm, Home and Fleet Division
Animal health products and feed for all types of livestock, horses, and pets; fencing and building materials, livestock equipment, baler twine, wire, feeders, and other products; wide variety of products and supplies for the home, lawn, garden, and sportsman as well as fuels, lubricants, farm and passenger tires, and automotive accessories.

Agronomy Division
Inputs for production agriculture, including crop protection, farm seed, and fertilizer.

Service Departments
These areas encompass all the administrative and members relations areas, including financial services, communications, accounting, legal, information systems, human resources, distribution and traffic, risk management, and more.

Training, Internships And Scholarships

The goal of TFC’s yearlong career training program is for participants to gain knowledge and experience under the direction of experienced personnel. This training is required for promotion to management and other career opportunities within the TFC organization.

College students have the opportunity to participate in a 12-week summer internship at TFC or a member cooperative. This paid internship provides both hands-on learning and classroom instruction.

TFC offers a total of 32 scholarships — each worth $2,000 — to qualified agriculture students at the University of Tennessee at Knoxville, UT Martin, Tennessee Technological University, Middle Tennessee State University, Tennessee State University, and Austin Peay State University.
