Free-Choice Feeding to Beef Cattle: Feed free-choice when cattle are on lush grass or small grain pastures. Do not feed any additional mineral or salt. Mature cows should consume 150 g (5.30 oz) per head per day to provide 0.6 oz of magnesium and 3 mg of selenium per head per day. Always provide plenty of clean, fresh water. Mixing with Grains for All Types of Ruminating Cattle: When grazing low magnesium-containing forages, mix 300 lb of Co-op Foundation Hi Mag Cattle Mineral with 1700 lb of ground feed and feed 3 lb per head per day.
