

Tim Luckey is a longtime member of Gibson Farmers Cooperative and row crops 4,500 acres. He, along with his wife, Susan, and sons, Grant and Clay, raise corn, cotton, wheat, and soybeans. Luckey has served as a director on the TFC board in the past. Luckey also serves as a Gibson County commissioner and is on the budget and road committees. He lives in the Gibson County community of Humboldt.




Jason Cherry farms 4,000 acres of corn, cover crops, and soybeans in Chester County in partnership with his family. He also raises commercial cattle and registered Herefords.


Director Benjie Daniel has been in the dairy business for more than 20 years. Today he manages a beef cow and calf operation and a beef background operation, as well as grows silage, hay, pasture, corn, soybeans, and wheat. He served as a director for Dickson Farmers Cooperative and has been on the Tennessee Farmers Cooperative board for six years. He is a graduate of Austin Peay State University and has a degree in agricultural science. He lives in the Dickson County community of Charlotte.


Director Sloan Stewart of Moore County boasts a rich background in farming, banking, and county government. He served as the Metro Moore County Mayor from 2009 to 2018 and has been a member of numerous agriculture, bank, and farm credit boards, including active service on his local Farm Bureau Board and Cattlemen’s Association. A longtime member of the Co-op, Sloan is the current president of the Bedford-Moore Farmers Cooperative Board of Directors and operates a 1,000-acre cow-calf backgrounding operation with his wife, Cathy. Sloan is the financial center manager at Farmers Bank of Lynchburg.


Kevin Steelman raises dairy heifers, and beef cattle and serves as a poultry contract grower in Mulberry, which is located in Lincoln County.


Robert Thompson farms 760 acres in the McMinn County community of Niota. His family farm, Lane View Farms, was founded in 1883, and Thompson is a fourth generation farmer. A Co-op member since 1982, Thompson grows corn and hay, and has a cow/calf operation. Thompson was awarded the 2008 Governor’s Award for Excellence in Agriculture and Forestry for his conservation efforts on the farm. A member of AgCentral Co-op, Thompson has served on the local Co-op board as well as on the merger committee when McMinn Farmers Co-op merged to form AgCentral Co-op. Robert and his wife, Lyn, have one son, Will.


Scot McDonald raises 400 acres of crops, 400 beef cows, and 500 yearlings in Monroe, which is located in Overton County. He is also a construction consultant for Twin K. Construction.


Matthew Miller is the managing member of Miller Land and Cattle LLC, which manages 2,000 acres consisting of beef cattle, hay, wheat, corn, and soybeans. He has a bachelor of science degree in mathematics from Lincoln Memorial University and has served as the vice president of the board for Knox Farmers Cooperative. He resides in the Knox County community of Powell.
