SUMMARY: 

AgCentral Farmers Cooperative is a farmer-owned business that serves the agricultural community by providing high-quality products and exceptional service to its members and customers. They are currently seeking a reliable and safety-conscious Feed Truck Driver to join their team in Athens, TN. This position is responsible for the timely and accurate delivery of livestock feed to their customers and other branch locations using a straight truck. The driver will ensure proper handling of feed, adhere to safety and regulatory standards, and maintain a high level of customer service in all interactions. AgCentral's truck drivers can expect to be home each night!


QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • Unrestricted Class B CDL license required
  • Clean driving record and ability to meet DOT requirements
  • General knowledge of livestock and feed products is preferred but not required
  • Ability to communicate effectively and professionally with customers and team members
  • Strong attention to detail and safety practices
  • Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in a physically active and dusty environment
  • Must be dependable and able to work independently


ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Safely operates a truck to deliver bulk and bagged livestock feed to farms and branch locations
  • Loads and unloads feed into designated areas or storage locations per given instructions
  • Ensures feed safety by following proper handling and cleanliness protocols
  • Accurately records delivery information and customer interactions
  • Conducts pre- and post-trip vehicle inspections; reports and maintenance or repair needs
  • Follows all business and state safety policies and procedures
  • Communicates effectively with team members to ensure efficient outing and scheduling
  • Provides exceptional customer service to members and other patrons of AgCentral Farmers Co-op
