Co-op All-Purpose Ratite Feed

Begin feeding Co-op All Purpose Ratite Feed at four weeks of age. (Co-op AN Chick Starter/Grower-Item#104CR should be used from hatch to 4 weeks of age.) Co-op All Purpose Ratite Feed can be offered free-choice to growing, finishing, maintenance or breeding birds. Ostriches should consume approximately 3 to 5 lb per head per day; emus should consume approximately 1 to 1 1/2 lb per head per day. If birds maintained for breeding are gaining excessive weight, limit feed Co-op All Purpose Ratite Feed to maintain satisfactory body weight condition. Supplement high producing birds with oyster shell during breeding season to improve eggshell quality. Pasture or other forage should be available. Provide clean, fresh water at all times.
