Co-op Foundation Cattle Mineral-CTC is formulated to supplement weaned cattle. The active drug ingredient, chlortetracycline, is a broad-spectrum antibiotic with a variety of feeding levels for use in beef cattle, non-lactating dairy cattle, and sheep. A Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) is required to purchase this feed.
Hand feed at the rate of 100 g (3.53 oz) per head per day to provide 350 mg of Chlortetracycline and 3 mg of selenium per head per day. Feed this product along with ample forage and/or other appropriate feedstuffs. Provide clean, fresh water at all times.
WARNING: A withdrawal period has not been established for this product in pre-ruminating calves. Do not use in calves to be processed for veal. This drug is not approved for use in female dairy cattle 20 months of age or older, including dry dairy cows. Use is these cattle may cause drug residues in milk and/or in calves born to these cows. No withdrawal period is required when used according to this label. CAUTION: Federal law restricts medicated feed containing this Veterinary Feed Directive (VFD) drug to use by or on the order of a licensed veterinarian.
