QUALIFICATIONS:

  • High School / GED Diploma 
  • A general knowledge of mechanical work 
  • Certification and/or experience working with small engines preferred 
  • Ability to work in a team environment and independently

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Analyzes and repairs small engines used to power lawn mowers, chainsaws, trimmers and similar machines 
  • Assembles power equipment for sales 
  • Assesses mechanical work on small engines and communicates findings to the supervisor so parts can be ordered
  • Repairs small engines as scheduled by supervisor and communicates findings to customer 
  • Assists customers in the sale of new and used power equipment
  • Assists in the loading/unloading of power equipment and tagging for repairs 
  • Makes pickups and deliveries of power equipment as needed 
  • Monitors that no power equipment (new or used) leaves the company premises without proper invoicing 
  • Ensures all parts used are recorded on work orders or recorded by the supervisor 
  • Assists in the upkeep of local store maintenance and other duties as assigned 
  • Provides excellent customer service to the farmer members and patrons of United Farm & Home Cooperative
