QUALIFICATIONS:
- Bachelor’s degree in agricultural communications, broadcasting, film, communications or marketing.
- A farm or rural background is preferred.
- Demonstrable video collecting and editing ability with a strong portfolio
- Ability to work in fast-paced, rapidly changing environments.
- Creative thinking with an excellent eye for detail.
- Physical ability to move and hold recording equipment for long periods of time.
- Proficiency with digital technology and editing software packages (e.g. Avid Media Composer, Lightworks, Premiere Pro, After Effects and Final Cut)
- Familiarity with social media formats (i.e. Instagram reels, Facebook stories, TikTok, etc.)
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.
- Takes a brief to grasp the team’s needs and specifications
- Reviews shooting script and raw material to create a shot decision list based on scenes’ value and contribution to continuity
- Captures raw footage and turns it into final products including long- and short-form videos
- Trims footage segments and put together the sequence of the film
- Inputs sound to enhance footage, which may include selecting music and writing voice-overs
- Designs visual graphics and adds engaging effects
- Improves and corrects lighting, coloring and faulty footage
- Continuously discover and implement new editing technologies and industry’s best practices to maximize efficiency.
- Films live training sessions and edit for use on TFC's online learning portal.
- Outside and overnight travel is required
