QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelors or associate degree in Agriculture Business or related field and/or 2-3 years of management experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Proficient in demonstrating effective management duties and responsibilities
  • Ability to lead a group of employees in a team setting and stay self-motivated

 

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS:

Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Plans, develops and implements cooperatives policies and goals and then works with board of directors for final approval and direction
  • Coordinates activities of divisions and/or departments such as operating, manufacturing, engineering, planning, sales, maintenance, or research and development
  • Directs and coordinates promotion of products or services performed to develop new markets, increase share of market, and obtain competitive position in industry
  • Analyzes division or department budget requests to identify areas in which reductions can be made, and allocates operating budget
  • Confers with administrative personnel and reviews activity, operating, and sales reports to determine changes in programs or operations required
  • Directs preparation of directives to division or department administrator outlining policy, program, or operations changes to be implemented
  • Promotes cooperative in community, trade area and with sister cooperatives
