United Farm & Home Co-op is a farmer-owned cooperative with headquarters in Columbia, Tennessee. With 11 locations across central Tennessee, we serve over 5,000 farmer members, priding ourselves in service, knowledge, and dedication to the farmers, farm families, and communities we serve. We are seeking a highly motivated, career-oriented individual to join our team as a Retail Management Specialist. This entry level position offers a competitive salary and benefits program, yet does not require a prior degree. Once joining our team, the right individual will earn a certificate through an apprenticeship program we have established with the Tennessee College of Applied Technology (TCAT).

  • Willing to complete classes to earn professional development certificate from TCAT
  • High school diploma or GED



Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Managing various sales activities, including facilitating purchases and providing customer service
  • Greets customers when they walk in the store and builds rapport through conversation and honest recommendations
  • Serves customers in a professional manner that leads to a rewarding customer experience
  • Provides suggestions for store layout and merchandise and advertising displays
  • Manages the ordering, processing, and delivery of store merchandise
  • Inspects merchandise to ensure appropriately priced and displayed
  • Manages store employee work assignments
