Talstar® Termiticide/Insecticide is the high-performance, long-lasting insecticide now labeled for termites. So you have one convenient product for indoor and perimeter pest control as well as superior performance against termites. According to USDA studies, bifenthrin, the active ingredient in Talstar® insecticide has the longest average residual of any currently labeled termiticide.
Unlike some liquid products, Talstar® insecticide won't leach out of the treated zone. It creates a long-lasting barrier that termites can't penetrate, providing more protection against termites and fewer callbacks which will help keep your business profitable.
To help prevent insect resistance, you can use Talstar® in rotation with other insecticide products. You’ll find Talstar® to be an extremely effective component of your pest management program.
Bifenthrin is unique to the pyrethroid class. It’s superior chemical structure gives Talstar a three– characteristic combination no other pyrethroid can claim: 1) longest residual, 2) less likely to cause skin and throat irritation, and 3) miticidal activity. The biphenyl structure confers strength so it doesn’t break down as quickly in ultraviolet light and gives Talstar the longest residual of any pyrethroid. With no alpha-cyano group, Talstar is less likely to cause skin irritation and does not cause any throat irritation. And the tri-fluoro group provides miticidal control to Talstar. The benefits from these characteristics – Talstar is easy on you, easy on plants, and it is tough on pests.
With its water based formulation, Talstar® doesn’t have the odor problems of the solvent-based organophosphates and carbamates, so it’s easier on applicators. Plus, it won’t harm lawns and ornamentals. Homeowners will appreciate that Talstar® leaves no odor or residue after treatment
Talstar® makes America’s backyards more enjoyable by controlling a broad range of destructive and dangerous insects. Fire ants, ticks, chinch bugs, and lawn caterpillars are no match for this powerful product. Talstar® F Insecticide/ Miticide also protects ornamentals against mites and leaf feeding caterpillars. It’s also compatible with herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and liquid fertilizers.
