Cotton festival to celebrate 25th birthday

8/1/2012

The West Tennessee Cotton Festival celebrates its 25th anniversary in Crockett Mills on three consecutive Saturdays this month.

From the pageantry of the Miss West Tennessee Maid of Cotton competition on Aug. 4 to the roaring excitement of a huge truck and tractor pull on Aug. 11 to the all-around, all-day entertainment at the “Family Fun Day” on Aug. 18, organizers are promising “something for everyone” at the silver anniversary of the popular Crockett County festival.

Events will be at the Crockett Mills Community Center.  Admission is charged for the pageant and pull but the Family Fun Day is free of charge.  Activities on this final day of the Cotton Festival include a business expo, kiddie tractor pull, dog show, and gospel singing.

For additional information, call 731-677-4170.
